Moderation

Warnings with a limit, timeouts, kicks, bans, purges.

The moderation commands: /warn, /warnings (list and clear), /timeout, /untimeout, /kick, /ban, /unban, /softban, /nick, and /purge for cleaning messages (all, a user’s, bots’, links, attachments, or a word). Every warning is stored and counted per member; at the limit the bot acts by itself.

The commands need the moderator to hold the matching Discord permission (Kick Members for /warn and /kick, Ban Members for /ban, Moderate Members for /timeout, Manage Messages for /purge), and a moderator can never act on someone with a higher role. The bot never lets a member do what Discord would not.

Plan: Free, on every plan

A ladder, not a list

Five warnings by default, then a kick. The action can also be a timeout of one hour or a ban. Reaching the limit resets the count; the action is logged.

AutoMod feeds it

A warning given by an AutoMod rule counts the same as one given by hand.

Every action logged

Warn, timeout, kick, ban, purge: one embed each in the moderation log channel, with who, whom and why.

How it works

The dashboard’s tour walks you through these same steps on the page itself, one setting at a time.

  1. 1

    Set the limit

How many warnings (1 to 20) and what happens then: timeout, kick or ban. /maxwarn does the same from Discord.

  2. 2

    Moderate

    /warn with a reason; /warnings shows a member’s count and clears it; /timeout takes a duration; /purge takes a count and a filter.

  3. 3

    Read the log

The moderation log channel holds every action; the Logs page routes it.

What you control

Max warnings
1 to 20, five by default.
Action at the limit
Timeout (one hour), kick or ban.
The switch
On means the limit is enforced; the commands themselves follow Discord’s permissions.

Questions people ask

Can a moderator ban an admin?

No. The issuer and the bot must both outrank the target; the server owner is exempt.

Does a timeout from the ladder override a longer one?

No. A running timeout is extended only when the new one is longer.

What does /purge user do?

Deletes the last N messages by that member in the channel (up to 99), and needs Manage Messages for the moderator and the bot.
